Ty Nevins began driving electric cars at age two, go-karts and ATV's at age three, and quarter midgets at age four. By the age of five, Ty had graduated from the J.B. Hansard Quarter Midget Racing School at the famed New Smyrna Speedway in Florida.
Shortly after his fifth birthday, Ty's racing career got off to a quick start. He won his second race, won the pole for his third race, and then scored wins or podium finishes for the remainder of the season.
Ty moved to the JR Honda division in 2010, and began competing against children three years his elder - and he dominated the class. 2011 Ty expects more of the same in his brand new 2011 Storm Chassis quarter midget. Ty will race the southeast region in both USAC and QMA, and will also compete in the Grands National races at Indianapolis in July.
